Boy, I hope that turns out to be not true!
How are we supposed to get our K-40 developed then?
If I remember right, they don't come back with a return address, so it's a mystery exactly how I'm going to get my film to Switzerland, or more precisely, where in Switzerland.
I think some voodoo is involved in all this...

Hello Everyone,
I was just wondering where are some places that you have your film developed...I just sent some to Javaphoto.com; they are about the only ones that I know that do Ektachrome. - Chris

I believe the PK59 mailers are ONLY for Kodachrome. (and they are pretty cheap on B&H and Adorama websites, like $5.50). That film goes to NJ, and then to Switzerland (or so I've been told.)
Anyways, I am about to try the Walmart Kodachrome route...apparently they send to Dwayne's, and it's only $4.88. It seems too good to be true.
CONCERNING EKTACHROME: I believe there is a place here in Dallas, TX that does the processing for $6.50. It's called Clear Color Photo...they don't have a website, but I think their number is 800-224-5654.
Hope any of that helps....

The current issue of Flicker Magazine (devoted to Super-8) has an article on Dwaynes if anybody is interested in knowing about the only place in North America that still develops Super-8 Kodachrome Film.
I haven't bought the magazine yet but I plan to.

Hi Guys!
School started last week, and Im already swamped with projects, but am having fun in the process.
My question relates to the Pk-59 mailers, and what film can we process with them, and does it go to Switzerland, or stay here in the U.S.
Does that mean I can process the Ektachrome sound film with the mailers, or do I have to send it away to someone else?
Thanks
Scott

The Kodak PK-59 mailers are for Kodachrome and Ektachrome.
In fact, I think they're even for regular 8, in addition to Super 8.
I'm going to jump off a bridge if they really are discontinuing these.
For now, I'm in a race to buy as many as I can afford from B&H before you guys get them all!

If you happen to be one of the thousands of filmmakers in New York City...there's an excellent developer for Ektachrome called Pac Lab (212)505-7797. I believe they still even do special processes like posterizing and negative-image processing, among others.

Posterizing?? What's that? Is it like solarization effect or what?
Does this place have a web page?

As far as I know , Fuji sends their super 8 to Dwane's too. They don't do the actual processing in Arizona anymore, they get it there and pass it on to Kansas. I've dropped it off at a camera store in N. Hollywood, Fuji picks it up and it's back in a week.
